Dr Amos Matsiko is an Associate Editor at Nature Materials. He received his PhD in 2012, from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland on the development of biomaterials for musculoskeletal repair application. He then stayed in the same institution as a postdoctoral researcher in a project on mimicking developmental processes in the acceleration of bone defect repair. He also carried out industrial research with Integra Lifesciences Inc on developing nerve guidance conduits. Amos left laboratory research and moved to the UK in 2016 as an Associate Editor at Nature Communications handling manuscripts in the area of biomaterials. He then moved to Nature Materials in 2017 and is now responsible for the broad area of Biomedical Engineering.
